What is Ghusl and what method of Ghusl is practiced in Islam?

According to Islamic laws, three things are mandatory in Ghusl without them, Ghusl cannot be performed and the person remains impure.

What is Ghusl and what method of Ghusl is practiced in Islam?

  • Rinse in such a way that the water reaches the entire mouth.
  • Pour water into the nose up to the soft part of the nose.
  • Wash the whole body with water

These three things are very important, apart from them, the rest are Sunnah, doing them will get reward and if you don't do it, you will get Ghusl, but it is not in accordance with the Sunnah.

Following is the method of bathing according to Sunnah:-

  • The person performing ghusl should first wash both hands up to the groin, then wash the hands and the groin area, even if there is impurity on the groin area, it is necessary to wash both of them first.
  • Where there is dirt on the body, clean it
  • Then he should perform ablution. If he is sitting on a stool or a stone, he should also wash his feet while performing ablution. And if he is sitting in such a place that his feet are full and he has to wash them again after the ghusl, then he should perform the whole ablution but not wash his feet.
  • After performing ablution, pour water on your head three times, then pour water on your right shoulder three times and then on your left shoulder three times in such a way that the water flows over the whole body. Then pour the water a second time so that the water reaches everywhere well, leaving no empty space anywhere.
  • Then he should move away from this place to a pure place and he should wash his feet, and if he has washed his feet during ablution, then there is no need to wash himself, thus his ghusl will be completed.

Apart from the things that have been mentioned above, there are also some things that need to be taken care of while taking a bath.

  • He should not face the Qiblah while performing Ghusl.
  • Do not use too much water and do not use too little, use enough water to bathe well.
  • He should bathe in such a place that no one sees him.
  • Avoid talking while taking bath.
  • After bathing, wipe your body with a towel or a good cloth.
  • He should try to cover his body as soon as possible, even if his feet are not washed while doing ablution, then he should move away from the place of ghusl and cover his body first, then wash both his feet.
  • If it is in a place where no one can see it, it is also correct to take a bath naked, whether it is standing or sitting, but it is better to take a bath while sitting because it is more veiled.
  • He should not recite a word or any prayer with his tongue while taking a bath.
  • If he has done ghusl and later remembers that that part of my body was dry, then it is not obligatory to bathe again, but he should wash the part that was dry, but it is not enough to just wipe his hands, but a little. You should take water and restore it in this place and if you have forgotten to wash it, then wash it now. If you have not put water in your nose, then put it now.
  • Wash all the hairs of the head and apply water to all the roots. If even one hair remains dry or the water does not reach the roots of one hair, then Ghusl will not be performed. It is a duty not to let even a single root remain dry and if water cannot reach all the roots without opening the hair, then open the hair and soak the hair as well.
  • If he is wearing a ring or a ring on his hand, he should take it off while taking a bath, but if he is wearing a ring or a ring, he should loosen them well so that the water reaches through the holes. Pour water into the holes even if you are not wearing them. So that the water does not reach there and the ghusl cannot be performed properly.
  • If the water does not reach the ear and nose, then the ghusl will not count.
