Media) In the African country of Niger, the commander of the presidential
guards, General Abdurrahman Tachyani, who overthrew the elected government,
declared himself the head of state.
The head of the Presidential Guard, General Abdul Rahman
Tachyani, appeared on state television saying he was the president of the
National Council for Homeland Security.
Recently, in the African country of Niger, the army
overthrew the government of the elected President Muhammad Bazum in a coup.
In this regard, General Abdul Rahman Army Chief General Abdu
Siddiqui Isa supported the new leader of the rebels۔
It should be noted that since the military coup in Niger,
all borders are closed and curfew is in force in the country, besides all
institutions are closed.
Ousted President Bazoum was elected as Niger's first democratic head of state in 2021, after Niger gained independence from French colonial rule in 1960.
